Textiva

Good Morning,
I have three more postcards to post today.
The first is a sunset and it is featuring a new product for me. It is called textiva and it is film that is the raw material of the Angelina fibers. I used fusible interfacing to attach it to the fabric and used puffy paint to create the rocks. The sunset and clouds were paint from Jacquard. I used neopaque for the sky colors and the luminere gold for the clouds. I loved how it turned out.
The next is a contemporary look, I crinkled up the textiva and then ran a quick stitch around outside of fabric to tack it in place. Then I free motion stitched all around to create the ground and background. I added dyed fabric sheets in cut up pieces to create the trees and stitched to keep in place. Also heat bonded more bits of textiva to create additional trees. I changed the color of the ground by adding a quick hit of heat to the textiva to change the color slightly. I was almost sad to send this one off.
The last one is a waterfall using the same technique in an earlier post. I just used a yarn to create grass hanging over the edge for a little different look. Hope you liked them.
Talk to you soon

Lily

Good Morning!
I have attached some pictures of my mom's dog Lily. She is quite the cutie. There is also a picture of Madelyn with Lily. She would love to have a dog of her own. Not quite there yet. Maybe someday.
The kids also did a camping trip in the living room over the weekend. Complete with roasting marshmallows in the fireplace and having flashlights. They had a blast (as you can see)!
Have a great day!

More ATC's and a Postcard

Good Morning,
The first two are ATC's and the last is another postcard.
The Full moon ATC is hand painted fabric, the trees were added thanks to my new cool rubber stamp of trees and the moon is a little round mirror. It is held in place using a dryer sheet, painted with metallic white paint and then fused on in strips to look like clouds. Really happy with the look.
The other ATC is a heart theme. Hanpainted fabric, rubber stamp rubbing and then various pieces of trim and beads. The bottom most heart has the word secret embossed in it. Because no one really knows what is in our hearts. ; )
The postcard is made with puffy paint to create rocks and then painted in various metallic paints. The water is painted fabric sheets, sewn on in layers to create water movement and then using dye pens and a blender to add depth to the water. Final pieces are beads in various sizes and colors to create smaller rocks and the idea of wet rocks.
Enjoy your day!

ATC's and postcards

Hello everyone!
I have two more postcards to check out and I have 2 Artist Trading Cards or ATC's as they are commonly referred to. The Angel card is titled Angel (duh) and the collage is called Dream since it is about spring and since spring is taking so long to get here - maybe a little wishful thinking might help matters along.
The trading cards are only 3.5" x 2.5". The mermaid is made from a beaded mermaid - thanks to my sister Laurie (take a bow Laurie!) and the other is a peacock (again duh!) I have one more trading card done but didn't get a chance to photograph it prior to this post so I will send it in the next one.
Hope this finds you healthy and happy.
Later
